The new Industrial strategy announced last week marks a turning point for Scotland’s economy, and it’s BIG news!

Ayrshire businesses have been crying out for support

After the dither from the SNP in Holyrood, we can see the difference a Labour Government makes! This is a bold, long-term plan to tackle the challenges that have held back Scottish industry for too long; rising energy costs, underinvestment, and a lack of strategic direction.

For years, businesses across Ayrshire and beyond have been crying out for certainty and support.

Now, they have it. Labour's 10-year strategy is not just a Westminster policy, it's a plan for real change in Scotland’s towns, cities, and industrial heartlands.

At the heart of the strategy is a commitment to slash industrial electricity prices by up to 30 per cent for energy-intensive manufacturers. This is a game-changer for Scottish manufacturing, particularly in sectors like aerospace, advanced materials, and clean energy.
