Sacking Of Police Constable Marriage To Pak Woman Risked Security: CRPF To HC

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has defended its decision to dismiss Constable Munir Ahmed before the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, citing serious misconduct involving a secret marriage to a Pakistani woman, forged documents, and concealment of sensitive information that could pose a threat to national security.

In its official response to the court, the CRPF alleged that Munir Ahmed married Menal Khan, a Pakistani national who entered India on a tourist visa in February 2025, without informing his superiors. The force claims that Ahmed not only concealed the marriage but also forged her signature on the nikahnama (marriage document) —a move they argue constitutes a serious legal and disciplinary violation.
