Young engineers begin two-year project to help sustain isle's bird life

A SPECIAL engineering project aimed at improving the environment for the local bird population has taken wing at Chilton Primary in Ramsgate.

The school is working with the Royal Society to run an exciting and important initiative that ties in with STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

The initiative involves Year 4 pupils, who will be taking part until they near the end of their primary education in Year 6.

As part of the project they will be using robotics to improve the environment for their feathered friends.
