ACCEPTANCE, individuality and a sense of belonging within the Chilton Primary School family were celebrated in an energetic and colourful outdoor parade by children.

Pupils' parade shares message of individuality and self-respect

It was the culmination of a term-long learning journey for the whole school with each class highlighting specific aspects of the themed initiative called Be Here, Be You, Belong.

Head of school Alex McAuley described it as “an enthusiastic, energetic and colourful affirmation” of the subject, which was part of the PSHE section of the curriculum, but touched all corners of school life.

He added: “The parade had a lovely carnival feel to it and it was special that we had parents in to watch.
