Marina's blue day brings in £600 to help out hospital

A SPECIAL 'blue day' at Ramsgate Arts Primary has raised more than £600 in donations for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

The fundraiser was the idea of pupil Marina, who was treated at the hospital after being born with a rare condition.
When she was born in 2014 at Kings College Hospital in London, it was immediately clear that Marina had a small bump and opening on her neck, but the doctors were stumped. She was referred to GOSH, where they were able to diagnose a congenital cervical cleft - a condition resulting from embryonic development anomalies.
