DUCKS ALIGNED FOR FOLKESTONE RACER AT DONINGTON PARK
-
FOLKESTONE racer Ryan Dixon was delighted after an incident-free weekend at Donington Park resulted in three podium finishes from three races in the Pirelli Super Series 1000.
Dixon is still lookig to solve the technical issues at cost him at Croft last time out but luckily it didn’t have a big impact of him performances in Derby over the last weekend in June.
The East Kent bike rider qualified in eight, meaning he started the first race from the third row of the grid.
“I struggled a bit in qualifying; the bike just didn’t feel like mine and every time I tried to push at all, I was having more issues,” Dixon explained. “I did my best to improve my lap time but just seem able to, eventually ending eighth on the grid (seventh in the points scorers when you take Kyle Ryde out of the equation).
“After a couple of small adjustments to front suspension and a bit of advice from Kyle (he was in the same garage as me) I was ready to have a go in race one.
