Pittsburgh's culinary scene has been quietly blossoming over the last decade with dedicated food festivals, new dining concepts and a burgeoning craft beverage scene.

A diverse lineup of annual festivals and events celebrate the city's rich food heritage and innovative flavours year roundmany of which are free to enjoy. From the iconic Picklesburgh festival which marked its 10th anniversary this month to the growing popularity of plant-based celebrations like VegFest, Pittsburgh offers food lovers an ever-evolving gastronomic adventure.

Picklesburgh:

The iconic festival returned to the city and celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this month.

Hosted in downtown Pittsburgh, local restaurants and budding chefs set up popup stalls selling all things pickled, from artisan cocktails to deep-fried pickles on a stick and pickle-flavoured Oreos. The festival also included live music, how-to demos, author talks and pickled merch.
