A flashback episode of Coronation Street takes us back to 2007 to shine a light on Kit's shady past. Actor Jacob Roberts tells us what surprises are in store

Viewers are about to see hints of a secret past between Kit and Mick, ahead of a flashback twist revealing all.

oronation Street fans will see another side to dodgy detective Kit Green when a new storyline looks back at his past and dives into his true link to Weatherfield baddie Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton).

Jacob Roberts, who plays Kit, spills all on the soap's ongoing drama, with his busy errands as a cop - such as breaking up a fight between warring dads Gary Windass and Mick - and tension with his family on the Cobbles something he's enjoyed every minute of.

"I've loved it," he shares. "Playing a detective constable, I've been able to meet a lot of the cast members and work with everyone, so seeing how people work and developing relationships with them all has been good."

Things are about to take another turn, though, with a special flashback episode detailing moments from Kit's past that have shaped him.

The soap goes back to the year 2007, and fans will finally find out what events made Kit the man he is today.
