Worries of bad luck at sea ceremony

A NUMBER of mourners at Ian Bailey’s funeral were afraid to handle his ashes and refused to throw them into the sea.

They were asked to do so by his sister Kay Reynolds - but they said no for fear of bad luck.

One of those present said it was a bit embarrassing as some people were willing to handle his ashes while others were extremely reluctant.

Several those who didn't said they didn't feel it was their place and were also worried it would bring bad karma.
