WYNDHAM VICTORY WOULD BE WORTH A FAIR FEW BOB TO TOP-CLASS MacINTYRE

THE WYNDHAM Championship at Sedgefield, North Carolina marks the end of the regular PGA Tour season.

The top 70 players on the FedEx Cup standings at the conclusion of play on Sunday advance to the playoffs.

Scottie Scheffler, Rory Mcllroy and Sepp Straka lead the points list, but all three are absentees, with the main interest centred on the battle to secure a place at the first playoff event, next week's FedEx St Jude Championship.

Among those looking for a good week to move into the top 70 to qualify are Max Homa, Matt Kuchar, Cameron Champ and Victor Perez.

Sedgefield is a short par 70 at just 7,137 yards, with accuracy off the tee vital.

The winning score has been 20 under par or better in seven of the last nine renewals.

England's Aaron Rai won last year on 18 under par by two shots from Max Greyserman, with Ryo Hisatsune, JJ Spaun and Luke Clanton rounding out the top five.

Rai has had a disappointing year with just one top 10 finish in his 18 starts in 2025.

That was at the Mexico Open back in February.

Rai is 33/1 to retain his title but will need a massive improvement in form to feature this week.
