Boss Slot knows Kop need to find their sparkle again

ARNE SLOT admits he isn't even thinking of reeling in Premier League frontrunners Arsenal or Manchester City.

champions extended unbeaten run in all competitions to eight games with a goalless against Leeds on New Year's Day.

But it was viewed missed opportunity to five points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea and to within four points of third-placed Aston Villa ahead of the trip to Fulham tomorrow.

While unbeaten since late November, Slot's side have struggled to piece together complete performances during this current sequence and they were unable to exert too much pressure on Leeds as the Reds played out their first 0-0 draw since December 2023.

"OK, that is not a nice thing to hear," Slot said of that statistic. "But I think it is clear and obvious that we hardly concede chances any more.

"It is also clear and obvious that we find it quite hard to generate enough chances for all the ball possession we have and that is not new for us this season.

"What the players try to do is they keep on trying. But sometimes you need a kind of magic to unlock a game or a set-piece and if that then happens then all of a sudden everything looks much nicer but that is not our season until now."
