Trump loses sex abuse appeal bid

DONALD Trump's last chance to appeal a finding that he sexually abused a columnist has been rejected by the Supreme Court.

The President of the US (Potus) was found to have assaulted Elle writer E. Jean Carroll in 1996 by a 2023 civil court jury and he was ordered to pay her £3.6million damages. Mr Trump was also found liable for defaming Ms Carroll when he denied her allegation in 2022.

Yesterday, America's highest court declined to review his case but gave no reasons, which is its usual form.
