Seán promises wacky Vicar St shows
ICONIC Irish comedy trio Foil Arms & Hog are set for some 'wacky, wild, and high-energy' shows in Vicar Street this Christmas.
The group are facing into a seven-date run in the Dublin venue, before heading off to Europe and the UK for shows right up until March.
For Seán 'Foil' Finegan, one-third of the comedy group, their audiences help them to keep the energy up when they are touring night after night.
“It's weird.. Obviously, the Dublin shows are easy, that’s the home gig, and you're back in your own bed,” Seán told The Scene.
“But recently, we did five shows back to back across Canada, and it was like, your head is totally melted. You can't remember where you are. We've done the cliches, you know, ‘Hello, San Francisco’ when we were in LA.
“It's the audience that gives you the energy. When you go out there, they give you the boost when you're absolutely jet-lagged, fatigued, and then after the show, you just collapse like a sack of potatoes.”
Foil Arms & Hog have released some iconic sketches over the years. From When Irish People Can't Speak Irish to When An Irish Exchange Student Comes To Germany, the trio have garnered millions of views.
Sean adds that out of all the sketches they have put out, the How To Speak Dublin sketch is their favourite.
