Ravenous for success, Guardiola is rejuvenated by the Club World Cup and is desperate to make history again

- FROM JOHN CROSS Chief Football Writer in Orlando @johncrossmirror

PEP GUARDIOLA has a spring in his step and a smile back on his face.

There is no doubt the Manchester City boss has a real “hunger” to win this prize - and write his name into the history books once again.

Guardiola won the Club World Cup in its previous guise with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011, with Bayern Munich in 2013 and again with City in 2023.

It is a record trophy haul for the Catalan and he has his sights set on a fifth success along with becoming the first manager to win the new-look tournament.
