CHRIS WOOD and New Zealand are going to the World Cup finals again - after a scare for the striker and his nation on a noisy night at Eden Park.
Nottingham Forest's Premier League goal king Wood (above) limped off nine minutes into the second half of the 3-0 win over New Caledonia with the Oceania Qualifier final goalless despite the host's many chances.
New Zealand could not find a way past New Caledonia keeper Rocky Nyikeine and the heroic defence of the team from the South Pacific, ranked 152nd in the world.
