Riverdance line out on Up for the Match

RIVERDANCE is to perform ahead of tomorrow's All-Ireland final, RTE has said.

The global dance troupe will appear on Up for the Match tonight, hosted by Des Cahill and Jacqui Hurley.

More than 80,000 fans will be heading to Croke Park tomorrow for what is to be expected to be an exhilarating All-Ireland final between Cork and Tipperary.

But fans have been promised fun, passion, “and a bit of Riverdance” as Des and Jacqui count down to the game on RTE One and RTE Player tonight at 9.35pm.

Des said: “I've been presenting Up for the Match for over 20 years now, and it never gets old.

“It's something I look forward to every single time.

“The buzz, the craic, the last-minute nerves - it's become a bit of a cultural phenomenon.
