MASON ON TARGET FOR RISING UNITED

- BY DARREN WELLS

IF Manchester United needed any evidence that their fortunes may be changing, an emphatic victory at Molineux against a team heading in the opposite direction was perhaps just the tonic.

A fifth away league game unbeaten, their first time scoring four goals on the road in over 18 months, and just one point separating United from a spot in the top four.

Even Jean-Ricner Bellegarde scoring Wolves' first goal since October - 598 minutes ago - could not stop the Red Devils from romping to a win that was always coming.

That is the sort of stat that would have haunted United in recent times.

But they were helped by the fact that Wolves - now on their worst ever Premier League run - are in freefall.

Rob Edwards dream job could quickly be turning into a nightmare as his side's hopeless defending allowed United to run riot.
