Martin sees need to be 'sustainable'

TAOISEACH Micheal Martin has vowed to "alleviate the pressures on people" as much as possible through tax changes and social welfare in the budget, as a cost-of-living package was once again ruled out.

The previous Government rolled out several cost-of-living budgets, with money being set aside for things such as energy credits.

However, this has now been repeatedly ruled out by the Taoiseach and Money Ministers Paschal Donohoe and Jack Chambers.
