Mailed it in for birthday double Bill...

NO disrespect intended to the good people at the Journal of Applied Surfaces and Interfaces, in the unlikely event they're reading this.

It’s equally unlikely I'll be reading the Journal of Applied Surfaces and Interfaces - though I have subscribed to it.

And when I say “I have subscribed to it” I mean another Billy Scanlan - or for regular readers with a good memory, that other Billy Scanlan - has subscribed to it.

But like many things in Billy's life - it's me who takes the brunt of his actions. Like, this week, getting email updates about applied surfaces and interfaces. Yay for me.

I first encountered Billy maybe 15 years ago. That first email - meant for him but sent to me- was from a bank where he got a car loan.

I know that Billy - from Massachusetts - likes to drive a Chevrolet.
