Bohs will be better served backing one of the local game's good guys rather than getting on his case

WE need to talk about Bohs and Alan Reynolds.

What a fantastic, and crucial, win for Bohemians and their manager against Shelbourne on Monday night. After that home defeat at Dalymount against Dundalk, the pressure was on. Rennie, not for the first time, delivered.

Isn't it about time the whole club really got behind him?

‘As a manager, when the fans are wobbling, it's a nightmare. It takes away authority in the dressing room. It creates doubts that can quickly tum into division.

Give Rennie a proper chance.

He’s one of the good guys. He's a League of Ireland legend who has helped so many top clubs and so many top managers.

This is only his second full season in charge of Bohemian FC. In his first full season after a proper pre-season, he delivered lucrative UEFA Conference League qualification with a fourth-place finish.

They'll feel they have a real chance of progressing too, after being drawn against Gibraltar’s St Joseph's FC.

This season, despite the inconsistency, Bohs are still third in the league. And, yes, we know they probably won't win it this year. But let's be honest, that’s hardly unusual.

Bohs haven't won the League of Ireland since 2009.
