Students explore the final frontier at SPACEFest

IT WAS once the final frontier but, for many businesses, space is no longer such a giant leap away.

This week one of Ireland's top third-level campuses is inviting you to take one small step into that future. SPACEFest 2025 has touched down at Technological University Dublin.

The festival will feature the famous Armagh Observatory & Planetarium Dome, workshops, and live amateur radio contact between Dublin primary school students and the International Space Station.

The aim of the four-day public festival, running from today to Saturday, is to transform the university’s Grangegorman campus into a hands-on learning centre around the final frontier.

The community engagement festival welcomes families, schools, and science enthusiasts to explore rockets, rovers, coding, art and the mysteries of the universe, free of charge.
