Cleric who vowed to honour tragic Daniel, three, dies

THE parish priest who promised the Donabate and Portrane communities would unite to honour Daniel Aruebose has died suddenly.

This comes as DNA tests have still not confirmed the identity of the child’s remains discovered on wasteland nearly three months ago.

Reverend Fr Pat Reilly, the much-loved parish priest of Donabate and Portrane, died suddenly at Beaumont Hospital on Friday, according to a death notice on RIP.ie.

Rev Fr Reilly's passing has left the community devastated as they await clarity on the tragic case of Daniel, three, whose suspected remains have yet to be formally identified.
