He suffered a rare defeat at Windsor last time but that was a muddling affair and he looks sure to get a more suitable strong pace in today’s big betting race.

The step up to a mile and a half also promises to bring about more improvement and the 9-1 on offer is a cracking price.

WAY OF STARS (2.05) is coming along nicely and won his maiden as easily as he liked at Goodwood last time.

More will be needed from Andrew Balding’s three-year-old in the bet365 Handicap, but he is progressive and already has some solid handicap form in the book.
