Hammers off to a horrific start, but Wilson pledges goals and good times are just around the corner

- BY KEITH WEBSTER

CALLUM WILSON has promised to show his true worth to West Ham fans and help lift the club out of their awful start to the season.

The Hammers shipped three goals at Sunderland in their Premier League opener and saw Chelsea put five past them last Friday night.

Graham Potter's side managed their only goal of the season to take the lead against the Blues before caving in and are bottom of the league with two defeats and a minus-seven goal difference already.

But striker Wilson, who joined West Ham in the summer as a free agent after five years at Newcastle, reckons there is quality in the squad and that those players will get it right.

"It's a massive club and a great opportunity for me," Wilson told the West Ham website.
