Sexton to be sounding board for Farrell's No.10s

- BY DEREK FOLEY

THE angry brigade are already up in arms about the amount of Irish coaches and players going to the Lions tour to Australia.

A sweet 16 who wear green will be part of the trip while Andy Farrell is head coach and is supported by assistants Simon Easterby, John Forgarty, Andrew Goodman and Johnny Sexton.

Not only that, Sexton is thinking about bringing a bit of Jim Gavin and Robbie Keane with him too!

Back in a tracksuit after Farrell offered him the role for the nine-game tour that opens against Argentina at Aviva Stadium, it turns out the former Leinster and Ireland out-half hasn't really been away - he was just taking a break.

During that sabbatical he got to see former Dublin coach Gavin's (inset top) business view and talked to Keane (inset bottom) about his experiences.

Sexton said: "It kind of solidified what I thought about high performance really, whether you are in business or in sport.

"That what you do every day is every thing, the standards that you set - all these things that Joe Schmidt taught us when he came to Leinster, what was it, all those 15 years ago.
