Garda operation to expel migrant sex offenders

A TOTAL of 25 foreign sex offenders have been booted out of Ireland in the last year, it has emerged.

Figures released on Wednesday by the Department of Justice show that gardai have tracked down and expelled the rapists and abusers since a special operation was set up last year.

Codenamed Moonridge, it was set up by Garda bosses last year to identify foreigners living here who have been convicted of sex crimes.
