JOSH VAN DER FLIER says it was “hard to take" not making a Lions Test match squad under Andy Farrell.

But the 32-year-old Leinster star is using his frustration as motivation heading into Saturday's clash with Munster at Croke Park.

“It was hard to take, definitely,” said van der Flier, who was in good form heading to Australia and then in the early Lions games.
