Papers to show paedophile's major Brit links, say sources

- BY CHRISTOPHER BUCKTIN US Editor

PROMINENT British figures are braced for uncomfortable questions about their links to Jeffrey Epstein, sources say.

The release of the Epstein files by the US government, due on or before Friday, is expected to expose the true scale of the billionaire paedophile's UK network.

Until now, Epstein was known to have made around 90 flights in and out of the UK.

But a previously unseen flight log for his "Lolita Express" private jet will show the child sex trafficker made more than 200 trips to and from Britain since the early 1990s.

One of Epstein's victims, speaking ahead of the release, said: "What was it that drew Jeffrey to the UK and, by the looks of it, British people to him? He was deeply embedded in the UK, so who helped smooth his path?

"Victims deserve to know."

A former US law enforcement official who reviewed an early summary of the documents said: "The UK links are far more extensive than people realise.
