The script is unwritten but twists are guaranteed..

I'M in the middle of writing a film at the moment, so I'm going through that movie process of structuring Act 1, Act 2 and Act 3.

Act 1 is the build-up and anticipation. Act 2 is the climax and the fall off, and then Act 3 is the resolve.

It's pieced together like an arc and it's very indicative of a football season with so many ups and downs.

The team that wins the league has, of course, reached the highest point of that arc, even if they've been through the ringer to get there.

Right now, we're very much in the Act 1 phase of the League of Ireland season with teams trying to figure out where they are in the overall context of everyone else.

But a movie is made up of many, many scenes and sub plots so even at this early stage, it's worth reflecting on what we've seen so far.
