Under-fire Frank wants time for new-look Spurs to gel

- BY ALASDAIR GOLD

SURVIVE THIS AND WE'LL BE UNSTOPPABLE

THOMAS FRANK claims Tottenham can become an "unstoppable force" if they can get through their period of turmoil on and off the pitch.

But when it comes to the pressure, the Spurs manager said: "I only focus on what I can affect. There is a lot of noise. I know because I've been told and I'm not stupid, we want more good results but I focus on what I can see is actually working and we have to do more of that.

"I know we need to focus on being calm and doing the right thing. If we do that, keep doing the right thing, hopefully because we do more right things - then things will turn."

Frank is one of 12 new department heads who have been appointed at the north London club in the past nine months, with the biggest change being CEO Vinai Venkatesham steering the ship in the wake of Daniel Levy's ousting after 24 years at the helm.

When you live in a place long enough, it ceases to be mere bricks & mortar... it invades your bones & becomes part of you

ON a cold, woebegone day, the kind of forlorn, half-lit, spirit-sapping January afternoon that pinstripes life with a thread of melancholy, I surrendered to an irresistible urge to seek asylum in the past.
