Road death boy's parents fail in appeal over lack of prosecution

THE family of a schoolboy fatally injured in a road collision last year have lost their appeal against the decision not to pursue a criminal prosecution.

Dylan Coady-Coleman, 10, died at Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street in Dublin on February 28, 2024, from his injuries.

The incident took place a short distance from the child’s home at Corrib Drive, Shannon, Co Clare.

A male in his 20s was arrested in relation to Dylan's death but was later released without charge.
