Masters champ feeling good & back on the Quail glory trail

RORY Mcllroy believes he is “in a good place” entering golf's second Major of the year as he looks to replicate his Masters success.

Mcllroy completed the career grand slam at Augusta last month and now heads to the PGA Championship - the only Major he has already won twice - at Quail Hollow, which begins on Thursday.

He will hope Majors prove like London buses as he tries to win his second in a matter of weeks having waited 11 years to win his fifth.

The Northern Irishman warmed up for the trip to Charlotte by finishing tied seventh at the Truist Championship and was bullish about this chances.

“I'm in a good place,” Mcllroy declared. “I didn't feel like I played all that well this week, I still finished seventh. Even what I feel is my bad golf, I'm still there or thereabouts.
