BOHS' new goalscorer Douglas James-Taylor says that he can only get better as he gets fitter.

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

Despite dealing with niggles since his move from Walsall, James-Taylor has scored three goals in four League games.

The 23-year-old netted twice in the 3-0 win over Cork City at Dalymount Park on Friday, a result that keeps the Gypsies in second place behind Shamrock Rovers in the Premier Division.

Bohs boss Alan Reynolds said that the ex-Drogheda loanee will improve as he gets up to speed with the demands of his new club's approach.

"The way we play and the way Drogheda play are different," noted Reynolds. "That's not knocking anyone, but they're just different. So he needs to get up to speed with the way we want to play. There's more to come and he's a cracking player and a serious handful."

James-Taylor, a goalscorer in Drogheda’s FAI Cup final win nine months ago, agrees with Reynolds' assessment.
