IT'S CLEAR' TO SEE WE'RE NOT A POOR TEAM
Irish Daily Mirror

JOHN CLEARY paid no heed to the “doom and gloom” around Cork football as they recovered from the heavy defeat to Roscommon with a vital eight-point victory over Louth yesterday.
Results on Saturday meant his side entered the day in the Division 2 relegation places. They ended it by leapfrogging the Wee County to boost their survival odds and take a step closer to Sam Maguire Cup football.
"The consequences of the result were pretty big here," said Cleary.
"We put ourselves into a battle but thankfully, we came out fighting and got the job done.
"When we analysed the Roscommon game, and there was a lot of doom and gloom about it, the scoreline didn't justify the way we played.
