THERE are many who think that politics and an event like the Eurovision should never mix.

Those people will be happy now that RTE has confirmed it will not be boycotting this year's Eurovision over Israel's involved.
That's fine, except Eurovision bosses have already set a precedent by banning Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.
It's difficult to see how Israel could be treated any different over its actions in Gaza.
