Coronation Street actress Vicky Myers says Lisa Swain and partner Carla Connor can expect troubled times ahead

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers hints at stormy scenes ahead as Lisa Swain’s relationship with Carla Connor heats up.

Carla (Alison King) is preparing to propose and she’s even involving Lisa's daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin).

“Carla asks Betsy for her permission,” says Vicky. “It’s beautiful. It’s the mother-daughter relationship Carla's yearned for.”

But nothing is ever simple on the cobbles. “The plans are fumbled by a noisy neighbour,” Vicky warns.

Neighbour David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) has been locking horns with the detective sergeant since she and Carla moved in to No6.

Despite the tension, Vicky, 49, adds, “I’m enjoying watching the dynamic unfold between Lisa and David. But fear not. There is a proposal further down the line.”
