ENGINEERS SAVE DUMPED POOCH

A team of engineers found more than they bargained for when they were sent to check an abandoned house.

On arriving at the property, they heard a whimpering noise inside - and discovered a starving dog knee-deep in rubbish.

The emaciated pooch looked like she had been alone in the house for weeks and vets were worried that she would not survive the night.
