Maguire joy cut short as he sees red at Cherries
MANCHESTER UNITED saw their Champions League charge checked by Harry Maguire's red card and twice they threw away the lead.
It ended in frustration against draw specialists Bournemouth who fully deserved a share of the spoils in their fifth draw in a row although United will be kicking themselves.
Twice they went ahead, with Bruno Fernandes first putting them in front from a penalty, before Maguire's late sending-off which also paved the way for Junior Kroupi to snatch a leveller from the spot.
But Michael Carrick has transformed United in every sense. Their surge up the Premier League table has been matched by the impressive level of performance.
They are such a good, entertaining watch again. The attacking trio of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes glided across the pitch, swapping passes as they went.
