James fires home early winner to put Leeds back on track

LEEDS' push for promotion is back on track as they rediscovered the winning habit at the Riverside to return to the top of the table.

Ice-cool Daniel Farke always wondered what all the fuss was about after a run of just one win in six games sent their fan-base into collective apoplexy.

A glance at his record against Boro eight wins out of nine before kick-off - should have settled pre-match nerves.

And if they didn't, Dan James' second-minute goal surely did the trick.

For all Boro's second-half pressure, the outcome was effectively settled before they had launched an attack of their own.
