CITY ROOKIES IN TITLE RACE CLAIMS PEP

PEP GUARDIOLA insists his Manchester City side cannot be considered experienced title race experts - because most of his squad haven't been in one yet.

Arsenal's midweek draw at Wolves has put the race for the Premier League crown back in City's hands and they can close the gap to two points with victory over Newcastle tonight.

But Guardiola is not allowing any title talk inside the City dressing room and says he does not know how his unfledged squad - including new boys Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo - will react to Arsenal's latest slip-up.

"Many things are going to happen until the end of the season," said Guardiola.

"Seventy per cent of the players are new, so they don't have that experience of these kind of situations.

"Experience is win [against Newcastle]."
