HEIMIR HALLGRIMSSON has hinted he is ready to sit down with the FAI over a new contract after master-minding wins over Portugal and Hungary.

The Icelander, suddenly in hot demand, kept things tight-lipped when asked if talks were imminent.

"We said when the dust settles we're going to sit down and just speak together," he said last night.

"It's always been an honest conversation. It will happen sooner or later, but not in the media. Just me and them."
