A mum, entrepreneur, charity advocate.. girl power is all grown up

In a whirlwind few years the Spice Girls had nine No1 hits, including three consecutive Christmas top spots with 2 Become 1, Too Much (Emma's favourite) and Goodbye.

Geri left the band in 1998 and the group eventually split in 2001. In 2002 Emma signed a solo deal with Simon Fuller's label 19, going on to reach No1 with single What Took You So Long, plus seven further top 10 hits. She has had four solo albums and 16 singles.

Simon said of her: “Emma is young, talented and ambitious.”

After that came a cameo in Absolutely Fabulous and a turn on Strictly in 2006, when she came third with professional partner Darren Bennett.

Still close to her fellow Spice Girls, Emma attended Victoria's Netflix premiere and Mel B's wedding last year and wished Mel C a happy birthday last week on Instagram.

And there are bound to be some of their old hits playing at her own birthday bash. Emma is not shy about reprising some of her 90s moves.

She revealed on ITV's This Morning: "If someone plays Wannabe at a party, I'll be on the dance floor.

The kids are now listening to it, and there’s a whole new generation coming through.”
