Autographs of icons set for auction

A PRIVATE autograph collection featuring signatures from icons such as John Lennon and Albert Einstein is set to sell for up to €75,000 at auction.

The collection of around 7,000 signatures was amassed by Dutch-born collector Jan van Bree.

Jan began collecting autographs in 1957 when he wrote to the famous Italian singer Beniamino Gigli - and received a handwritten reply.
