Annie murder suspect quiet as probe into killing goes on

THE suspect in the murder of Annie McCarrick has refused to speak to the Irish Mirror - as a Garda search for the missing woman is set to continue into next week.

The suspect, who is in his 60s, hung up when contacted by phone yesterday after we identified ourselves when he asked “who's this?”

It comes as we have also learned how tragic Annie, from Long Island in New York, had told pals “I've made a terrible mistake” shortly before she vanished.

Sources say a guilt-ridden Annie wanted to confess to the girlfriend of the suspect she had had a relationship with him.
