SOBER, unexposed over hurdles, should justify odds-on favouritism in the Grade 2 Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle in Punchestown tomorrow.

- BY PETER O'HEHIR

SOBER, unexposed over hurdles, should justify odds-on favouritism in the Grade 2 Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle in Punchestown tomorrow.

The seven-year-old, formerly trained by Andre Fabre in France, for whom he won at Clairefontaine in August of last year, is unbeaten in two starts since joining Willie Mullins (above) and will be expected to give the champion trainer a fifth successive win in this event.

Sober made his Irish debut in Killarney last May and duly justified 4/11 favouritism in a novice hurdle, knuckling down well to beat Arch Empire.

That bare form leaves him with a bit to find to make his mark at this Grade 2 level.

But the Camelot gelding produced an impressive display to land Royal Ascot's marathon Queen Alexandra Stakes on his only other start for Closutton.
