Municipal Poll Schedule Likely Before Sankranti

(Indian Chronicle)"The schedule for municipal elections in the State is likely to be announced by the State Election Commission (SEC) three days ahead of the Sankranti festival, sources indicated.

"As part of the preparatory exercise, ward-wise voter lists are being finalised for 117 municipalities and six municipal corporations in accordance with the prescribed schedule.
