99 DNA matches confirmed, 64 bodies handed over so far after Air India crash: Gujarat Health Minister

By Monday afternoon, DNA samples of 99 of the 241 passengers and crew who died in the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad had been matched, and 94 families had been contacted, Gujarat Health and Family Welfare Minister Rushikesh Patel said in a post on X.He said that 64 bodies had been handed over to relatives so far, and the remaining 35 would be released soon.
Dr Rajnish Patel, Professor of Surgery at BJ Medical College, told mediapersons on Monday morning that 13 families were present at the hospital to collect the remains.
