POSTHUMOUS AWARD
UKZN's graduation ceremonies were filled with moments of pride and joy but it was a bitter-sweet moment for the family of Dr Kwanele Mkhize.
He was shot dead by an unknown gunman outside a Pietermaritzburg school in March.
According to family members, he was transporting his sister Khangiswa Mkhize and her children to the school where she works when the incident occurred.
