'We need to be more ruthless'

Regan Slater says Hull City have to find a ruthless edge in the remaining five games

REGAN Slater has called on Hull City's players to find a ruthless edge in their bid to avoid relegation from the Championship in the final five games of the season.

Tuesday night's 1-0 loss at Watford was a passive display from City, who again missed the chance to back up a big win by failing to deliver a performance worthy of winning the game.

Moussa Sissoko's goal early in the second period proved decisive, and though Ruben Selles' men mustered 16 attempts at goal, few worked the Watford goalkeeper and caused him to break a sweat.

The result leaves City only two points above the drop zone, and the good work done in the final minute of the Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough largely undone.
