EXPERT VIEW ON CITY'S WEEKEND OPPONENTS WATFORD

- By BARRY COOPER

'Struggling to find a rhythm'

Paulo Pezzolano

HULL City will head to Watford this weekend full of confidence after last Saturday's tremendous 3-1 win over promotion favourites Southampton.

City’s first win in four games was crucial and backed up a deserved 2-2 draw at Swansea City the week before, and they now travel to Vicarage Road looking to make it back-to-back wins for the first time in 12 months.

Standing in their way will be a Watford side struggling to get to grips with life under new boss Paulo Pezzolano, having suffered successive defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Millwall, following a 2-2 draw at home to the Saints.

We spoke to Hornets reporter for the Watford Observer, Adam Drury, to get the lowdown on Saturday's opponents.

The four games prior to the international break were decent enough, with five points picked up from four games and some positives from each of the performances, but things have tailed off over the last fortnight. The home defeat to Blackburn was a very bad day, with no redeeming qualities, and though it wasn’t quite as poor at Millwall on Monday, they just aren’t creating enough. Statistically, they've had no big chances in either of those two matches.
